Governance Built for Accountability
BSF integrates ESG into its operations, decision-making, and long-term growth agenda. Since the first public ESG disclosures in 2020, the Bank has progressively evolved its governance structure to align with strategic ambitions, stakeholder expectations, emerging global and regional challenges, and Saudi Vision 2030.
In 2025, we refreshed our ESG governance structure to deepen its integration into strategy, decision-making, and oversight.
In 2025, the ESG Board Committee and the Board Strategy Committee were merged to form the Board Strategy & ESG Committee, providing integrated strategic oversight of the Bank’s long-term ESG direction. The Committee ensures alignment with business strategy and oversees the effective integration of environmental, social, and governance considerations into core operations.
Following the merger of the Board Strategy and ESG Committees, the ESG Management Committee and Strategy Management Committee were consolidated into the Strategic Transformation Committee. This Committee supports the Board Strategy & ESG Committee by recommending and monitoring ESG goals, reviewing ESG-related policies, overseeing ESG risks and opportunities, and driving periodic ESG disclosures. It also plays a key role in embedding ESG into the Bank’s strategic agenda and overseeing implementation across all business functions.
Serves as a focal point for all ESG issues by monitoring the Bank’s ESG KPI performance; advising on integrating ESG into products, services, and business strategies; and overseeing the implementation of ESG-related strategies, policies, programs, initiatives, and disclosures.
